杜甫,被后人稱為“詩圣”,其詩被稱為“詩史”。
這首詩大約作于公元767年,唐代宗大歷二年秋(普及一個知識),當時安史之亂已經結束4年,但各地的軍閥又在不斷混戰,搶占地盤。杜甫因戰亂而流離到夔(kui)州,此時的他已經56歲,身染重病,為了排解憂愁,又值重陽節之際,因而登高望遠,在登高后看到的是深秋的蕭條景色,由此想到國家正值戰亂,感時傷懷而作。

(2)、高天,天高闊遠,在茫茫天地之間,詩人更覺得自己渺小,無限悲涼之情涌上心頭。
(3)、哀猿,猿的叫聲是哀傷的,這更為詩人悲涼的心境更添一層。
(4)、清渚和白沙,清和白都是冷色調,更顯環境的冷清和凄涼。這又使得詩人更為悲傷。
(5)、回鳥,因為急風而不斷盤旋不能往前飛的一只鳥兒,而且只有一只,它是孤獨的,這讓作者自己感到了自身的孤獨。
